Brief overview:
The DRDA, Dhubri was established in 1983. At present as per Govt. Notification the CEO, Zila Parishad Dhubri is holding the charges of the Project
Director, DRDA, Dhubri.
The Executive Engineer of Z.P. Dhubri is also holding the post of Executive Engineer of DRDA, Dhubri.

Presently, two no. of schemes, viz. a) MGNREGA and b) PMAY-G are being implemented by DRDA, Dhubri.
A brief overview of the schemes :
MGNREGA :
- Issue of Jobcards to the Rural Workers who are interested to do work as an unskilled worker.
- Receiving demand for works from the unskilled worker.
- Providing works and wages to the unskilled workers.
- Selection of Schemes through Gaonsabha and execution of the same with due Administrative Approval of Deputy Commissioner & DPC, MGNREGA, Dhubri.
- 100% verification of works by the BDOs / PO of the concerned Dev. Block before payment of any bills.
- Providing technical support to the Garm Panchayats to implement the MGNREGA works successfully.
- The Main Moto of the programme is to creation of assets and also to generate mandays for the rural unskilled workers for providing jobs to them during lean season.
- Development of the Rural Infrastructure etc.
PMAY-G :
- Selection of PMAY-G beneficiary as per the Govt. of India Guideline and deprived criteria of the SECC.
- Finalization of the list of PMAY-G Beneficiaries.
- Sanction of houses / funds for the rural houseless families.
- Monitoring of the execution of construction of houses by the Block level officials and technical persons.
- Release of fund directly to the Beneficiaries Bank Account in three installments.
- Completion of houses and Geotagging of the same.
- Submission of report to the Govt.
